Two years ago, I went to Palma de Mallorca.
I went in this city, many times, for 6 years. For me, it's the perfect destination in South Europe, if you want to enjoy the sun, visit the old town and do some shopping. The city is well-known for being the little California of Europe. But I want to talk about my experience at the Hotel Mama Palma. I heard that the hotel has been renamed as the Hotel Cappuccino Palma. But previously, it was called Hotel Mama Palma. It's a five-stars boutique hotel designed by the famous Parisian designer Jacques Grange. Indeed, he designed 32 rooms of a former 19th-century building and wanted to make this hotel like a mediteranean oasis (a mix of Spain, Italy, Portugal and Morocco). The hotel is very warmful and full of colors. The aim is to feel like home. On the ground floor, the hotel houses a Cappucino Grand Café where you can enjoy a tea, coffee or a brunch, but also you will find the Japanese restaurant "Tahini". There is two large photographs (entitled "Le Noir" and "Le Sultan") taken by the French photographer François-Marie Banier. In the basement, you have a private cinema room next to the bathroom. You have also a spa, a fitness center and a rooftop with a small swimming pool, which offers a wonderful view on the old city.

This is my sixth time in Palma de Mallorca. I went there on August 23 and traveled back on August 30 to Paris. I think it's the only place in Spain that I really like, especially because it's an island and I love islands; but also for the beauty of these hidden treasures. The ideal is to travel by car, but you should not be afraid of dangerous roads ..., especially in the region of Serra Tramuntana. This time, I decided to rediscover the city off the tourist trail, and here is a little city guide. For transport, favor the bus. Indeed, the ticket costs 1.50 euros per trip. I was staying in a hotel located in Playa de Palma. The buses 23 and 25 went via the motorway to Palma, which was faster for us. Line 15 is very long ... and if you're in a hurry, it's not the right choice. And if you go in the evening, take a taxi back, it's the safest. To eat in this city, I had to respect a strict diet and we decided to cook during our holidays. The supermarket was located next to our hotel, and it was very easy to decide what we're gonna eat. But sometimes, to get a drink, to eat ice cream, we would prefer to take a seat. WHERE TO EAT AN ICE CREAM ? GELATS D'AUTOR CAPRITXO Their ice creams are so delicious and homemade with natural ingredients. You have a wide range of choices. My favorite ice creams were : mint chocolate chip and "cookies and cream". I think it was the best ice cream shop of Palma de Mallorca. Here's their address : Avinguda de Bartomeu Riutort à Playa de Palma. GELATERIA PANNE LATTE Located next to El Corte Inglès, Panne Latte is an ice cream shop where the customers are invited to eat an ice cream or to drink a coffee alongside deserts such as waffles, crepes or pancakes. Address : C/ Joseph Tous i Ferrer, 14 à Palma. A NICE PLACE TO DRINK A COCKTAIL OR A COFFEE CAPPUCCINO GRAND CAFE - HOTEL MAMA PALMA This café is owned by the Spanish restaurants' group "Grupo Cappuccino". There are 4 restaurants in Palma de Mallorca. This one is located in the hotel "Mama" which opened in May 2018. The interior design is wonderful. CAPPUCINO GRAND CAFE - CALLE SAN MIGUEL Located on the main street of the city, this café is based in an interior garden. It looks so pretty in a special location. FIBONACCI LIVING PALMA - SAN NICOLAS Nice café in the old town, next to the art galleries. They offer a large choice of pastries made with organic ingredients. I got there an iced coffee with an organic brownie. It was the best brownie that I ate in my whole life. The iced coffee was delicious and I went back the day after with my little brother. However, at that moment, the iced coffee wasn't available and I took a mocha with a chocolate ice cream inside. WHAT CAN YOU VISIT?
HOT SPOT: MAMA PALMA HOTEL It's the first five-stars boutique hotel of Cappuccino Group, designed by the French interior designer Jacques Grange. A Mediterranean-inspired oasis at the heart of Palma which seems perfect for a short stay in town. This charming hotel is located next to the chic district of Paseo Del Borne. On ground floor, you will find the restaurant Cappuccino Grand Café with an art deco style. The rooftop is only open to the clients and they can enjoy the little swimming pool there. In the basement, there is a private cinema.
